Meet the Team
MomChoir is the brainchild of Creative Director, Katy Cadman. We are accompanied by pianist Hey-Jung Choi

Founder and Director
Katy Cadman
Growing up in a musical family, Katy Cadman developed a lifelong passion for singing and choral music at an early age. Her deep love of ensemble singing has shaped both her musicianship and her career, bringing her lasting joy and artistic fulfillment.
Katy sang professionally for several years with the award-winning treble ensemble Aliqua, recording two albums with Nettwerk Records. Her professional performance experience, combined with a strong foundation in choral artistry, informs her expressive and collaborative approach to music-making.
Following her passion for mentorship and education, Katy became a high school English and Choir teacher, where she nurtured students’ creativity and confidence both in and beyond the classroom. She continues to perform as a member of the six-person a cappella group Sweet Scarlet, an ensemble known not only for its vibrant performances but also for competing on the international choral stage.
As a mother of three, Katy understands firsthand the importance of sustaining personal passions amid the demands of family life. Inspired by this belief, she founded MomChoir, bringing together her love of singing, conducting, and community-building. For Katy, the vibrant MomChoir community and the shared joy of rehearsal each week stand as the most meaningful expression of her work — creating space for connection, creativity, and music-making at every stage of life.
